Remember when I mentioned RHP Garrett Whitlock was placed on the High-A Tampa disabled list yesterday? I just remembered he was hit by a comebacker in his last start, reportedly in the shin. The DL stint is probably related to that. Chances are they waited a few days to see whether it felt any better, and when it didn’t, they put him on the DL. It was probably (hopefully) something like that.

- C Kyle Higashioka: 0-4, 1 K
- RF Billy McKinney: 3-4, 2 R, 1 3B, 1 HR, 1 RBI — back-to-back games with a dinger
- RHP David Hale: 6.1 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 K, 9/4 GB/FB — 48 of 79 pitches were strikes (61%), plus he picked a runner off first … pitching today means he lines up perfectly to make the spot start during Monday’s doubleheader in Detroit

- RHP Adam Warren: 3 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K, 5/1 GB/FB — 27 of 41 pitches were strikes (66%) … much better outing than last time … Warren told Kyle Franko he’s going to rejoin the Yankees in Baltimore this weekend, so there’s that … after throwing three innings tonight, I imagine it’ll be at least two days before Warren is activated … no sense in activating him before he’s available
